OP, if you don't get many tickets in the past, I'd say get deferral; pay the court $150 and your current ticket is on hold for 1-yr then it' gets cleared when you don;t get additional ticket within that 1-yr time (like you never got any ticket). If you drive fast often then get lawyer now for this ticket.
I slow down now, cause sooooooo many cops looking for revenue in the mist of budget cut. I don't go to Lynnwood/Shoreline and South unless I have to. Just got a ticket on expired tab in Lynnwood, and the cop not even giving me warning. My record is clean, no parking ticket, moving violation, DUI, toll, warant etc and yet the cop wouldn't settle for warning; this is on 25-day expired tab! not even broken brake light or broken headlamps (which IMHO is endangering others). |

I have used eticketbuster.com on my last 2 speeding tickets and they where awesome! I was a little worried at first because I have been using Barbara Bowden @ $350 bucks a pop since I was 17 and street racing was at its peak in Seattle.

Surprised at all the options here! Personally, I can't recommend Jeannie Mucklestone enough - completely painless and a 100% success rate among my friends.

Cops paced us. I had a radar but didn't go off. It was a funny story though. I was being picked up at 90mph by these 2 girls! Wrote their number on the window. I got distracted so went ripping through the highway well in excess of 90mph. My cops gave me a lecture about speeding and reckless driving, handed me a $200 ticket and I was on my way. The girls got the same as well. Prem was laughing when he saw the picture of the girl! She was cute! |

I've gotten pulled over for doing 55 in a 40, 53 in a 35, 71 in a 60 twice and never got a ticket =) I have gotten a ticket for doing 83 in a 60 but only got written up for doing 75.
The pacing thing is bullshit though, hopefully you get it out, if youve never had a ticket before though then just get it deferred... it doesnt go on your record as long as you dont get a ticket within a year and you can even mail in a written defferal.

I have not had a ticket in a few years... Since i'm not driving a Honda or Subaru actually, but dang! I feel like a sucker paying my tickets and accepting what they do for my insurance. Good Thread, i'll keep this in mind though if I happen to get another ticket.

I'm gonna have to call Fred soon as well. This Friday going to the VA, I got stopped at the PARKING LOT for a speeding ticket. The guy was a real tool as well and started rambling about all the charges that he can tack on and impound my car. Plus, he almost walked away without handing back my license.

thats what happened to me exactly. i thought the speed limit on 520 was 60 but i guess its 50 on the bridge. i have a lawyer working on my case. its been like a month and a half since i responded to the ticket but my lawyer says he cant locate my ticket. he said that that would mean the trooper hasn't filed the ticket yet. which will go handy in dismissing the ticket hopefully....
