Yes the tickets i bought a few weeks ago are reserved upper grandstand seats. I just checked Ticketmaster site and there are tons of seats open. I am GS5A row 21.

Note that all Friday tickets are GA you can sit anywhere there is a free seat.

Hey guys would like to attend. My gf said there were quite a few robberies and gun shots last year. Is that true? I know Baltimore is rough but would like to enjoy this without getting robbed. Thanks

No not that I am aware of and I was working the event. You will have a good time...last year was a pretty good success and hopefully this year will be better. It takes place during the day and there should be little issue...well no more than a typical day down in good ole Charm City.

I think you're thinking about last year's July 4th celebration. Plenty of robberies and a gun shot as well, i believe.

As for the Grand Prix - that event was phenomenal. Great crowd, awesome environment, and fun-festivities everywhere.

can't wait for the corral this year - ahem ahem PSeto

Two of us from the Annapolis area are interested in the corral this year. Based on the posts, it looks like we'll first have to register w/ BMW CCA...?

Last year's BGP was great, although I only attended Sat. I was most interested in the ALMS anyhow, so it was the best day for seeing that race and the Indy's qualifying. The intoxicating sound coming down Pratt street is remarkable! Nothing like it.

I was there last year on Saturday and the police/bomb squad closed down a side street while I was walking through and cleared everyone out. Nothing occurred to my knowledge but it was more than a little disconcerting. No robberies or gunshots that I heard of though - I had a total blast and I didn't even have seats, just paddock access

Hey Paul...any word on the car corral? I got an email from Ticketmaster about the "car corral experience."

Does the NCC Car Corral look promising for this year? Last year, we already had our tickets bought by March - or something of the sort...

Nothing to announce right now...still trying to work out something.

Corvette/Porsche already have their corrals set which is why you might see that corral experience on Ticketmaster. They have manufacturers tie in with ALMS which got them a headstart.

If we can negotiate an agreement that allows us to provide an event similar to last year, we may pass this year. I don't want to put on a corral if its gonna suck. I'd rather wait till next year so we have a lot more time to plan it appropriately.

Where are your seats? Are you staying in Baltimore or driving up each day?

National Capital Chapter will again host a car corral at this year's Baltimore Grand Prix! Please monitor our website over the next week to find out more details. With a new race promoter, there will be some expected changes but we will offer both ticket and parking packages over the 3 day event. Be aware that these tickets will sellout FAST!! We will have a very short timeframe to offer corral packages so do not delay once we open registration.

Please note that only BMWCCA members will be allowed to buy corral packages. However, CCA members are allowed to include non-members as part of their order.

Interested. Are the corral tickets the same price for driver and passengers?
