What boost gauges is everyone running? Pics and price

Ok I was using my JB4 as a gauge hijack to see boost,
But I've just done an M3 cluster retrofit and its slightly off,

Besides I'd like something more tailored to actual boost,

I've seen the left side vent replacement, Now I'm not sure if its just me but when I'm driving my left hand is exactly at that area and would make seeing the gauge very hard, Just like to see what everyone else is running

Lotsa good options out there. This one is very expensive, but you most certainly get what you pay for:

As a gadget guy, this is one mod I really want to do.

I don't currently run anything because I do not like the way my Cobb AP3 looks, if the P3 vent gauge was cheaper I would be all over it.

Oh absolutely- this one is pure sex...but the loss of an air vent though is just not worth it to me.

To me, my air vents are critical, and that's something I don't lose with my P3 gauge, thankfully.

Another member posted his Defi gauge mounted on the column right behind the wheel, looked great IMO. I'm on mobile so can't upload the picture.

The placement is intended as its in the line of direction, as opposed to using the left vent which takes your eyes off the road. The air doesn't disappear, just gets redirected to the remaining vent, and the cabin still cools down just as quickly - we've used ours in 100F summers with no discomfort at all.

Lots of non-BMW clientele mistake this for a factory item. The Awron systems are simply second to none to anything on the market.

+1

I turned off my right driver's vent for a month to test out if I'd miss it. I got used to it after a day or two. I just tilted my left-side vent more towards my face as opposed to straight up or down, as I find it tends to make my left hand cold in the summer. So actually, this mod would make me use that vent!

Good point, it's usually a familiarity thing at first. The pros definitely outweigh any cons.

That's actually a good point. Still can't justify nearly 1 G including taxes though

Great looking gauge though, with tons of features I'm sure!

I have the P3 and although it looks great, the position requires total focus off the road which isn't really what I like to do during WOT to check my boost.

Thought it would be cool to replace the ash tray with a gauge of some sort with still having the function of the door going up and down. Kinda like this one with a BMS gauge in it.

Found it in this thread.

Sorry only 2 pics I have right now but for about $43 and homemade mount it's not bad. This is the Prosport Performance Mechanical boost gauge. If I could do it over I would prefer one with a peak recall feature (location is obviously not ideal without a peak/recall).

Tsujen-I do like that as well, At first when i made my mount I was planning on doing something similar but my gauge was too large and it would have taken a lot more time and effort to utilize the lid to remain functional.

Wow that Awron is amazing,

Its $400 more if you use a JB4? jeeeeez,

I kinda like the ECS one they make that goes into the center air vent, The kits $189 and its an electronic sweeping boost gauge,
Might head down that road because these P3 and Awron gauges are a tad on the expensive side,

Superb for what they do, and I am in awe of them, but at the end of the day I just want to monitor boost pressure
