Have I got the most economical 330D?
I'm currently averaging 51.3 MPG. When I decided to really try hard, I managed 55MPG (brim-to-brim). I never expected this kind of economy from a 3 litre, even if it is a diesel.
Not that I'm complaining or anything! |

Yeah, maybe. Sometimes it gets very heavy though, not much point having all those horsies otherwise eh?

I'm currently sitting on 38.9mpg. 270 miles a week - less than 10% of that is motorway/duel carriageway. The car is also re-mapped.
Got 44mpg on a round trip to Scotland (circa 320 miles) took me 4.5 hours in total travel time. |

OK, what am I doing wrong?
My driving is 75% or more motorway and dual carriageway, and my average is just under 35mpg. I did a 100 mile motorway run last week, cruise control set at 70, and managed 44...

Does it make a difference being an SE rather than an M-Sport? I have a pre-LCI 330D manual and get 35 at the very best. |

Are you calculating your fuel consumption from the on-board computer readout or are you calculating using distance travelled and volume of fuel added on refils?

Amazing engines; who'd have thought 5 years ago, that you'd get those figures and 0-60 in less than 6 seconds. |

I got 53.4 mpg for the tank after I bought my LCI 330d auto ... but that has dropped to 37mpg now I am enjoying it and sadly sitting in loads of traffic ...
Still figures I could only have dreamed of when I had my Golf GTi let alone the Z4M R |
