Opinion on sport truck...

If you guys were going to purchase a new 2009 full sized truck to drive in addition to your M3, which would it be?... Used primarily for bad weather days, ski trips with the kids, camping trips, little league games, etc.

Toyota Tundra
Nissan Titan
Ford F150
Chevy Silverado
Honda Ridgeline

Looking at the full 4 door tricked out version of each of the above.

Thanks for the opinions.

I have a 09 F150 Supercrew King Ranch as my company vehicle and I am blown away at how much this is improved over my previous 07 F150.Mine has the nav,top line sterio, rear veiw camera and the sync and this works way better than the electronics in my M3.Totaly seamless electronics and the performance with the new 6 speed is much improved.3500 kms and so far no issues and the build quality is the best that I have had in a domestic truck

"sport" truck?

They make "sport" models that are still trucks?

FWIW, my son went from a Toyota to a Nissan and likes it a lot better.
You couldn't pay me to take a Chevy... never again. I'm surprised it took this long for them to go broke. You ever notice how many people are driving around with a headlight or taillight burned out? Ever notice that a very high percentage of those are relatively new model Chevy's? Just an indicator of how their built.

A lot of people I know got the Tundra. They are absolutely in love with it. Bigger engine than the Titan, GREAT pickup, and never breaks down like the Chevy's and Ford's that some of my other friends have.

I am in my second Titan and have nothing but positive comments. It is quick for a big truck. The service at my Nissan store is excellent.

The new F-150 is getting great reviews. It is more car like from the Motor Week show I saw. I would think Ford would deal on them but do not know for sure. They have to make a profit on something.

The Titan will definitely be on sale big time. The Tundra is the best looking to me and you can't go wrong with their reliability record.

Rating or no rating, the Honda is ass ugly to me.

The Ford is really nice inside, and it looks good to me. It does need a bit more under the hood.

Tundra V8
most power and good mileage
It also holds its value 1000000 times better than any of the american trucks. It looks nicer to me also. If I got a truck I would get that without even thinking twice.

I'd say Tundra or Titan. BOth look good and have great reliability. The Titan is going to be way cheaper though. My friend just got a new 09 for $28k OTD loaded!!!!

Thanks for all the responses. I have a 2006 Tundra and it was a good truck... poor breaks (replaced 3 times in 3 years and 60K miles) and a tranny that loves to get stuck in 4x4, until it bangs out of gear feeling like you got hit from behind. The lease is up... I drove the new Tundra and it was too big and just plain ugly inside.

The '09 Ford F150 I drove was a lumbering piece of shit... slow, lethargic gear changes, numb steering, cheap plastic interior. No nav, no sunroof, 40K!!!!!

The 4 door crew cab long bed TITAN is a beautiful truck. Powerful, crisp shifting, great handling, good looking, wonderful interior. Awesome stereo, nav, leather, sun roof, bed tie down system and mint looking spray on bedliner (stock from Nissan). 45K list, 6K in discounts from the dealer and an additional 5K in cash back from Nissan.... Nicest truck on the road for 34K, and yes, very sporty... more for heading skiing than to work. Black on black, buying it tomorrow!

Sadly, the American trucks just plain suck.

Good choice! My first one had the tow pkg. I wanted the trailer set up but did not really need or want those mongo mirrors. They slapped many a tree/bushes in the median w/o being extended. Great for large boats etc I guess. I really like all the storage under the rear seats too. Fire extinguisher/battery cables/flat fix all fit in one bin. The self shift toggle on the column shift is nice to use now and then. You are going to enjoy it.
