The N54, as you've stated is a twin turbo system (two turbos)... The N55 uses a single Twin Scroll Turbo (1 Turbo, two scrolls).
I wish I had an N54 in my X5, but alas, BMW didn't see that as a reality.

Simple Answer, No, it's not possible.
