E90 Thrust Arm Torque Settings
I am installing 2 new thrust arms in my '06 330i due to blown bushings. I have the Haynes manual (which sucks) and it is giving my a ball joint torque setting of 122 ft. lbs. This seems really high to me. Anyone have a bentley or TIS that could confirm the torque settings for the ball joint (and the bushing while your at it).
I would greatly appreciate the piece of mind! Thanks! |

For Tension Strut to Subframe, the manual gives two torque settings? Which one do you use? Are there different bolts used depending on model car?

The torque setting is derived from the grade of the bolt. 10.9 and 8.8 are bolt grades. there should be markings on the bolt that indicate which grade it is...based upon that, you can determine which torque setting is appropriate. |
