Radio cut-out after 15mins
Whilst cleaning my car on Sunday, I had the radio on without the ignition. Annoyingly so, after approx 15mins the radio would switch itself off.
Obviously I applaud BMWs inginuity in stopping me from 'accidently' leaving it on indefinately (or until the battery goes flat). However, can the duration be configured? or is hard set to 15 mins. I have non-Idrive, so couldn't see where it can be set or even if it's possible? Any ideas? or should I or try

Hit the start/stop button once which is the radio setting and it won't go off. - At least that applies to comfort access but I believe it is also the same for non comfort access cars.

Pressing the start/stop without the key in enables 'radio readiness' but this still only lasts 15min ish before it turns back off again.
Well it does in my non CA E93 |

why can't you shut off the car completely, leave the FOB in and press the start button without pressing the clutch/brake pedal in. that should only enable electronics in the car (including your radio).
think of it as the "middle" position if you were to have a car with a regular ignition key.
