Led Back up Bulbs

Has anyone ever installed LED bulbs for their reverse lights? I was thinking about getting them for my e92, but wondered if it makes a difference. Could someone post pics? Also what bout fogs?

What is the actual bulb number for the reverse light and if i installed LEDs, is there a sensor on the reverse lights (LEDs draw less current, so it'll throw off the sensor, if there was one)

Model: 1156

If you go with LED's for the *back-up* lights go to JleviSW.com because their bulbs will not throw the error code......my car is an april 2008 build AW e92 at there's no code. I've heard earlier models throw a code with other lights but JleviSW's don't. I think they're $25 a pair

Here are some pics

The bulbs Jlevi sells aren't for the E9X. I spoke to Nick, and he said they are working on something. I have LED reverse lights though...

I'm confused now.

So the 1156 bulbs from JleviSW work, or they don't?

So, all i need to do is get 1156 LED bulbs and there would be no error since there is no senor for the back up lights? Also anyone have pictures of the OEM bulbs so I compare the two?

They are about the same brightness as OEM but offer a more pure white output.

So this is more of a cosmetic thing and does not really help you see better when you reverse at night?

Well, my friend put LED backup lights in his RX7 and now when he goes into reverse, the bulbs are so bright they actually cast a shadow... so they definitely help a little bit.
