I'd highly recommend it. They look a lot better than rust.

Haha that looks very similar although I wish i went with BMW. Whatever though, it's too late now and I like the ///M enough to keep it for a bit.

I used the brake cleaner included with the G2 paint and a wire brush on a drill bit.

Fair enough, I like the stickers cause it's not just boring black although if I did it again i'd probably do BMW performance.

The actual painting wasn't that hard but the prep work was pretty annoying. I had a wire brush attached to a drill so that made it easier but it was still pretty tough. I didn't get them 100% clean but after a while I decided they were clean enough to start painting. I did one coat of G2 black paint on the calipers and 2 coats of G2 silver paint on the hubs. I also put anti-seize on the face of the hubs because taking off the wheels were one of the hardest parts of the process. I wound up having to get under the car and kick the back wheels as hard as I could a few times.

I know i'm most likely going to get flamed for putting a ///M logo on a non M car and i'm one of the firm believers in not doing that. However, when I saw the pictures from the guy I bought the decals from (http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=719338) I thought it looked great. I almost went with BMW Performance instead but by the time I realized i could have it was too late. Anyways let me know what you think and if you have any questions. I got slotted rotors, new pads, fluids, and ss lines coming in a few weeks which i'll hopefully have put on.

Sorry the first few pictures of the process are shitty. They were taken with an iPhone while I waited for my DSLR to charge.

Look at that 4x4 stance

Nice job, what are the jacks that are holding the car up?? Where can I find them? thanks

Nice job. I need to do my hubs as well. BTW, how did you safely get the car up on the jack stands?

That was actually probably the scariest part as i've never really put a car on jack stands... I had my friend who's done it before help me but basically this is what we did. I used the center jack point in the front to jack the two front wheels up high enough to fit the stand. After I had the front on Jack stands I used the center jacking point in the rear to jack up the rear wheels and then place jack stands under there. Pretty simple but I was still a bit worried something would happen. Just make sure the car's in gear (if you have a manual transmission) and the parking brake is on.

Those are just plain old jack stands. You can find them at most auto parts stores or an online place like Amazon.

Yea I probably should have but I wanted to be able to easily reverse it and I didn't want to have to pay another $40 for the white paint.

I thought about getting some high temp clear coat but decided not to because I ran out of time and didn't want to have my car on jack stands for more than a few days.

Hahahah I love those brakes and would love to have a bbk eventually but too much money right now. Hopefully this along with the upgraded brakes that should be here soon will be good enough.
