In need of a pair of 17x9 , 9.5 or 10's

Can anyone steer me in the right direction of getting a pair of 17's, must be at least 9 inch wide as im going to run a 10 wide slick.
What are the options out there? Thanks

The only option that I know of new are exxy apex race rims from the usa or a set of used E39 5 series M sport rims rims (by memory they're 9 inch on rear).

I believe these have a different hub size so you may have to get some hub rings. A cheap set of these can be had for around $500...

Or alternatively get some HSV 17" rims and get the hubs bored out if you know someone who's handy on a machine centre/miller.

I have a machine shop down the road that can easily bore the hub centres out, but how would i go with the offset? I can get some MT or Hoosier slicks that are 275x40x17 so they will definately rub if the offset is not spot on. Or i can opt for 245x45x17 but id like wider tyres than i currently run (255x30x19)

Yeah thats what i bought those 17" m sport rims i had for sale (for drags)

Decided a 275 would be too baggy on a 8.5" rim then couldnt be bothered with it and sold them (took me 18 months to sell the bloody things!)

You may need to roll the rear guards, offsets should be OK.

IMO dont run 255's go all out and run the 275's and make em fit!

The APEX ARC-8 wheels are perfect for the drags, perfect offset, great width (think its 9-10.5 inch) but it will cost me $1150 a pair delivered from the states (thats without import taxes) Not cool

Yeah i couldnt justify that either...

And in the past 2 years I've never seen a set for sale, as the M3 boys use them but they always are in 18"...

I just found a pair for $957 delivered from Achilles Motorsport in the states. Better price, but still expensive. then the slicks will be another $800 or so.. May as well call it $2k for a pair of rims & tyres
Im spewing because i have 2 sets of Hoosiers & MT slicks in my garage but they are 15 inch... Might remove my rear brake calipers and run 15'' rims for 1/4 mile runs lol

Haha seriously though were would you get 15" x 9 rims for the slicks haha

Ideally you would get 16" rims but no idea who would do a 16 x 9... You would have to go custom drag rims?

Having said that this guy did and went with skinny's up front and got into the 10's:

(oh PM me and I'll email you the link)

FS: Genuine 17" E39 M Sport wheels. Really good condition.
Pirelli front and Bridgestone rear tyres. Plenty of tread. Comes with Center caps and wheel bolts.
