coral red int color question
So i recently got an alpine white 335is with coral red interior. I've seen pics of some other cars on here with the coral red interior and in some of them it appears to be more of a super bright red color and then in other pics it appears to be more of an orangy red color like mine. So my question is, are there two different types of coral red interior or is it just the lighting and/or camera that makes it look different in the pics?

Thanks all for the input! This has been bothering my for awhile (call me crazy) so I'm relieved to know that I'm not going blind (lol) and its the camera and/or lighting that can make coral red appear so different in various pics. Plus I'm sure the dye they use to make the leather red can vary slightly too between cars.

FWIW, I have noticed that most cameras tend to saturate the color by a considerable degree. Almost all pics I've seen of coral red interior are much more red than it is in real life.

And is it any different than your dash on an 09 335? Only difference would be the trim and navigation (if you don't have it)

While I am sure the above pictures really are of Coral Red, that particular combination of camera and lighting conditions make it look a dead ringer for the Chestnut interior in my car. Which looks NOTHING at all like Corel Red in person. Which goes to show how difficult it is to truly capture a color on a computer.
And in other color related news, for the first time since I got my car a year ago, I saw another Tasman Green 3-series on the road today!

It's funny that you bring this up. I've seen Coral Red in person and I liked it a lot. Then seeing photos made me dislike it though I knew it was the white balance.

Who knew that coral red could look so different on camera and in person! Anyway, i will try some leather conditioner to see if that brightens it up at all, since i prefer it to be more of a bright red.

It depends on the lighting even in real life...in my garage its more orangy-red but with the sun shinning and sunroof shade open its definitely closer to lipstick red.
