325i to 330i Conversion: Question about flashing the DME

I am ready to partake on a new project: Turning my 325i with a 3.0 N52 into a 330i. I will be taking pictures on the way and may write up another (easy to follow) DIY.

I am just wondering, can I flash my DME with the latest 330i software without any problems? I believe both cars share the same exact engine and components (minus the 3-stage intake and exhaust); can anyone confirm this? I would like to keep the car stock with no aftermarket software.. Is this possible?

Thanks,
Chris

FYI for NA engine look here

I would do the intake first but that's just a subjective call.

Also these sub boards are most useful

Also if you are going to the trouble of modifing it I don't see
why you wouldn't want an aftermarket tune.

I have all of the parts on hand. This is not my first time removing and installing an intake manifold.
I am just wondering if the car will recognize that there are two added DISA valves and utilize them properly. I also just want to make sure that if I flash the 330i software, no sensor, injector,ect.. will become corrupt and that the engine will adjust it's valve timing properly to compensate the different amounts of air entering the engine.

Basically, I just want to know if I will harm my car by loading the 330i software onto it.

You dont want the AA tune? I know you mentioned you want to stay away from after market tune, but I think that would be the simplest solution from converting 325i to 330i.

I gave them a call last night and they said that they would be able to incorporate the 330i stock map with their tune into the 325i software. I may just go that route (I will have a little more power and torque then a stock 330i).
