Pic Req: E90 with swapped interior

So I found an E90 that I like, but the interior is gray and I hate it.. Don't see many threads on people swapping interiors on their e90, but just thought it'd be cool to see who has done it and what the end results were..

Thanks!

Hey mate
Not an E90 but have done my E92 as you know
I have posted a few DIYs covering changing out the headliner, carpets, seats, consoles, seat belts etc

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...&highlight=DIY

Is a big job but not that difficult, can do it in a weekend if you have all the parts.
Tracking down kick panels and things like the sun visors, door handles and all the little bits and pieces can take some time, unless you get lucky and find someone who is selling a full interior

Dont bother with dye and stuff, hell of a job and I dont think the results are ever 100%

Good luck. If you need any help PM me

Gray and Tan interior suck so hard. I know how you feel. Price is great, you are ready to go but you just can't get over the interior bits. Swapping the interior is easy. However a nice colored one that isn't black is usually pricey. I've seen some good prices on here for Terra and Brown that looks amazing. What I would suggest to go "on the cheap" is using just black dye for the outer panels so it looks more like the M or more expensive interiors. It gives it great contrast and fixes an otherwise vanilla interior.

I mean, it would just look like any other non-tan/beige interior.

FWIW, There's a way to pull the carpets while leaving the dash alone. Someone did a two-tone grey & black interior conversion here.

As an owner of a sparkling graphite metalic car, with dove grey interior and brushed aluminum trim, I'm very interested in finding this link...

I mean, I love my car, but it's just a sea of grey on grey on grey.

yeah i wish they used the black carpets and kepted the center console black stock. I think it offers a good break between colors with the 2 tone look.

Wow~ M3 seat that i was looking! Replacing the seat is last item of my interior facelift project. I super like the factory leather Dakota Terra but no such option in M3 series~

Is difficult to replace M3 seats? Can the seat full function?

Really really nice

M3 seats were plug n play for me...U gotta find seats similar to your factory setup to make life easier. I just so happened to find pre-lci, heated with folding seats for a decent deal
