DFW Auto Tint recommendations

I prefer a mobile tinter (my garage is clean).

Anyone know of any good tinters at a fair price in the DFW area?

Where did you guys go?

I had mine done at Pro Tint, they're in Plano not far from George Bush and Preston. They can also do Huper Optik if you've got extra cash to spend, heh.

My only beef was that my car came back pretty dusty on the outside, particularly the trunk lid.

Will do. and Yes that is the correct address. The guy at the front desk is pretty cool, he answered my questions pretty thoroughly. They seem to do pretty good work from the responses he gave me.

Thanks guys. I called Pro-tint, they seem to have decent prices. I like the nano-film option too!

Tint looks really good. The dot-matrix areas are done very well. I will probably go back in a couple weeks to see if there is more they can do to press down the tint around those areas. They said I could roll the windows down by Sunday, but I am going to wait just a bit longer before rolling them down.

There is also a noticeable difference in temperature with the tint, much cooler, ceramic is definitely worth the extra money.

You guys noticing scratches on tints? I have scratches. I hear it's only on e90s. There is a solution though.

yea, its about time for me.. i've been putting this off. Any pics on pro tints work?

The last two cars I've had tinted from random places both had scratches.

I'm hoping protint will be a good experience.

Will any of these tints resist scratches, or will they have to install the felt on the inside of your doors to catch the dust that accumulates over time?

I actually applied moleskin on one of my doors. I want to see how it performs in the summer. I have heard the adhesive melts in the summer heat; I didn't want to ruin both windows if this stuff doesn't work.

Thanks!, I am excited to see them, As I am scheduled to go in on Sat , I am just stuck on which tint to go with Llumar sara matrix or HO, I have heard some guys say the HO causes interference with CA ?? So if you have not had any problems with CA or am/fm signal / trunk pop, I am going with what you got! =)

Huper Optik has better UV blocking percentages than LLumar Cermatrix. The price difference is really what it came down to and LLumar seems to have a wider selection of shades. The LLumar is cheaper but it still a quality film with a very decent UV blocking rating (IIRC only 10% less than the Huper).

Ceramatrix tint is a ceramic based film, so I have had no issues with CA (outside the fact that my comfort access works sporadically before hand), my V1 works flawlessly, and my Navi works just fine as well.

Don't do Huper Optik if you have CA. Mine dosent work but maybe 10% of the time now once I had it installed!!!
