2010 stock with FRM3, Still Need Coding for LCI Tails?

So my car is a 2010 335i coupe and I'm almost certain it came with the FRM3 stock. With that said I've read conflicting information on if I need to code in LCI tail lights. So I hope some people with experience can clarify, do I need to code for a set of LCI tails or will they be plug and play for me?

try install it first and see for weeks, I have seen some people have had good luck they are adapted and work fine w/o coding especially if you have frm3.

So their tail lights just worked out of box because they had the FRM3? No strobe on start up or fast blinker?

FRM3 does not require coding for LCI rear lights.
I have only seen one Aussie complaining that he had to code it.

But was his frm3 stock in his car or did he retrofit a frm3 into an older car? I've heard people who retrofit the frm3 still need coding
