Anyone around the Sarasota/Tampa area selling black matte grilles?

I'm painting my lower mesh this week, and I've been meaning to get these for awhile. I think it will really top off the look of my car.

There's tons of people on the forums selling them, but if I can do a local pickup and avoid the hassle I'd appreciate it. So if anyone has them or knows anyone in the area that has a set for sale, please let me know.

Thanks, Guys.

Btw any news on the meets from you all up in Tampa? I met Paul at Bert Smith last week....seems like a really nice guy. I've been up north the past year and would really like to meet up with you all sometime, maybe do a photo shoot.

Think I saw your pics from the St. Pete Bridge meet, but I wasn't in town. Anything like that planned again?

I think there is a Cars n Coffee meet this Saturday at the DuPont Registry.

Heard about that, definitely might have to check it out.

Bert Smith gave me a price of $119 for the set, tax and everything. Apparently these things list for $72.50 a piece.

Not too shabby I suppose. There was no way I was going to pay $140+ for something as minimal as kidney grilles.

i think Bert Smith's price was pretty good. If you find a better price on the Tischer BMW site, I know reeves will match it. Meaning you save on shipping as well

Yea, Cars n Coffee @ Du Pont Registry is this Saturday. Ill be in Orlando though so cant make it.

Ill be working on some type of winter meet soon to try and get everyone together again. Stay tuned for details.

Gave Reeves a shout, they're willing to match Bert Smith at $119, but he said he'd still have to charge me the sales tax, Bert Smith was $119 tax and everything. (Think its 7% right? Haven't been in FL for awhile).

The good news about Reeves is they're the only ones that seem to have them in stock.

The Parts Rep did tell me something I've never heard before though. He said that when you replace the grilles you break the other ones. Something about the brackets and what not on the back.....is this true? Keep in mind I have an e92.

I was planning on keeping my other set just incase I ever go back to stock, he's saying once you replace them, they're no good.

Who did you talk to? You wont break the oem grills if you are careful. I've swapped mine around several times and have done it on several other cars. Tell them your a friend of Chino. I believe Tischer lists them for $55 each. If you speak to Phil in parts after 5pm im sure he'll be able to match that.

So ask for Phil at Reeves BMW service dept? Wow man, thank you. I really appreciate it. I talked to Steve I believe.

Too bad you're not gonna be around this weekend. I was hoping to see you at one of the meets, maybe DuPont on Fri.

I don't have any experience swapping grilles, and I'm not about to pay the dealer for an hour of labor to do it either, especially if he's saying they break lol.

I'm sure the DIY is easy enough, but now I'm worried about breaking something lol.

It's unlikely you'll break anything...
