honestly, if the two vents on the side of the airbox make that much difference, you are probably better off cutting two holes in your stock airbox and getting a K&N drop in. Also, those vents are sucking in hot air from the engine bay. it would probably work better if you could route some outside air through the brake cooling duct to that area.

And remember, they dyno with the hood up, so the intake box has access to fresh air. With the hood shut, it may not work as well.

it was prob a 15hp gain after they installed the box, put in new plugs, loaded an AA tune, installed PE and put a fresh tank of ethanol free 93 gas lol

I have the mod you described, I could really feel more acceleration in highway speed. So it is possible the dyno can show the gain. Why I asked if the eurobox can do the same.

The two vents are located where there are a few small gaps along the hood line, additional air can go in from there.

If the dyno is more ture than not, a 10hp gain, then add a tune, would it not be possible to gain 20hp, which would be nice for the N52?

I gotta send this back to the top again because I still haven't seen a single dyno sheet from a member here.

Nobody has it yet eh? I've got some extra cash to burn or save for my trip to Vegas in June. Someone tell me not to get it, please.

i put this on my n52. the car definitely feels like it's breathing easier. saw a 1mpg fuel increase in city driving (haven't been on a road trip since). I don't have a local dyno so i can't tell about any gains, but i've had friends ride in and drive it and they all say that the car feels like it pulls a bit better. if the hp and tq gains stated are correct, the 500.00 spent here is much better than the bmw performance intake which gains 3-4 hp.

I just checked the aFe site out of curiosity, and noticed they now have the "black" version which sells for about $100 less. My guess is you don't have to buy the fake CF version anymore.

Someone said earlier he bought one for under $500, if so could the black one be had for around $400?
