Alloy painter in the North East

I was wondering if someone could recommend anyone who could repaint alloys to a glossy black colour? Needs to be a good job but also the price has to be neat too

Check Dan out at An Illusion body shop in Thornaby On Tees if it's within distance, he will mix any colour you want and he did mine for me in a black pearl that shines when the light hits it here are mine and the most recent spray he's done quickly on his own wheels, awesome colour considering he was just messing about with them

If you want just gloss black, powder coat them, will be cheaper, and the finish is much stronger.

I would have said decent powdercoating costs more than decent spraying as like you said it's stronger, just less colour option, and cheap powdercoating easily flakes. Decent lacquer is just as good

Ok so powder coating the way forward? How can you tell if the initial powder coating job does not flake at a later date?

One further question is assuming an alloy is kerbed in future, usually i can get this "touched up" but thats based on the original alloy colour, would these guys provide some touch up paint or is it a case of refurbishing the entire alloy?

Powdercoating places that seem too cheap will be cheap jobs basically, and it forms a layer over it by being electrostatically charged, if you want it done properly after kurbing you'll have to re-do the alloy, theres no blending it like paint. You could always touch it up with a touch up kit but you'll be able to see it up close. Saying that i slightly kurbed my old ones and it didnt go through the paint, they just don't do flake like i wanted in mine it's all basic colours which is fine for your gloss black.
