Hello. Looks like an old thread, but it's the only one on DRLs that are not AEs.

2008 335i Pre LCI with Xenons. I just changed my AE bulb with MTEC V3s, but the DRLs kicked my but.

In #7 of the instructions, do you just pull the tab? Is this different than the connector to the bulb?

Note the poster says to "push up" on the black tab.

I'll try it when I have more time. Looks like it may still be a B***H. If this trick doesn't work, I'm going to just stop.

Here's an image of the compartment that holds the high beam bulb if you have Xenons. There are 3 clip like devices that hold the bulb in which makes it difficult to remove the bulb. I was able to get my passenger side bulb off but not my driver side. I got the passenger side bulb off by pulling up on the bulb with the black stalk device attached to it. For some reason the driver side is a lot harder to remove for me and whenever I try pulling up really hard, I end up just removing the black stalk...
