One for the Whiskey/Bourbon fans

Gents,

I like a bargain and so do you, probably. Mostly though I like to get drunk for a bargain price. Inspired recently by Gav (RockIt) into procuring at least one decent Bourbon to sit alongside the single malts I have, I had a look around for some options and came up with this deal, which I posted on HUKD.

Bit of a faff, but basically it gets you a bottle of Gentleman Jack and a bottle of Woodford Reserve for £40 (if your a quidco member) or £45 if not.

Hope someone makes use of it and enjoys. The Woodford is the best Bourbon I've tasted and the Jack will certainly not be unwelcome either.

How do either compare to (my personal favourite) Makers Mark?

I still regret not getting a 1L of that for Â£20 at the duty free.

I've not tried Makers Mark to be honest mate.

I rate Woodford Reserve very, very highly to be honest though and it's worth a punt at this price.

I'm a big fan of Wild Turkey, but I'll give this deal a whirl and aim to broaden my bourbon horizons - thanks for the heads-up, Matt

No probs. For those having trouble, it seems the Woodford Reserve is a weird one which doesn't always appear in the listings.

If you can't find it, try creating and logging in with your Tesco account and then the system will be able to search the ACTUAL stock at your local store. That made it reappear for me, whilst when I was logged out it vanished again.

Gentleman Jack appears at all times (or so I tested anyway.)

Yeah I couldn't find it on Tesco.

Went and got some WR tonight and it's easing the stresses of the day away quite nicely. Always mix my drinks, so I'm no connoisseur but I like it. Got it from Asda for Â£24.

Definitely try Makers mate.
