New wheels - my turn
Went and met Chris today as he only lives up the road from me so had a look at the 313's he had in stock in black, this is the first set hes sold and I think there are available on the group buy as he gave them to me for roughly the same price:
Spent an age today when I got them applying a layer of wax and then another 3 layers of poorboys wheel sealant. Thoughts? |

I must say, they look better compared to hyper silver.
The only problem I see with those, you will be cleaning them regulalry. I have similar wheels with similar colour on my previous car, and I had to clean them regularly. Black colour looks brilliant, but needs lots of effort to keep it clean. Anyway, I really liked those on your car. Different and good look.

The wheels look good. Makes the discs looks pretty small though.
Autogrip tyres? My absolute pet hate. Buying a good handling car and putting on cheap nasty rubber. A total no no for me. £60 tyres have no place on a BMW let alone one with power and torque. |

I'll see what there like, my MV3's had excellent tyres so if these are total crap I might to try and change them. Quote:
Was thinking about painting the callipers and hubs silver or black, possibly silver to they aren't lost within the colour of the wheels. |

Looks like a nice place to live. Beginning to hate the city.
As for the tyres, I've had some premium quality (Michelin, Conti, Bridgestone) I've had Falkens and I've had budget on various cars (all BMW over the last 4 years). Not being Nigel Mansell, most of them have been fine in the dry when new, but its when a.) they're a bit worn and b.) its wet/icy that you see what your tyres are made of. |

CSL's do look good but between those and VMRs which are very similar there on a lot of cars here, so wanted something slightly different. Quote:
Could be the angle f the photos? I think there is a noticeable concave on the rears |
