shocking dealership service
I bought my 335i 2 years ago the fuel injectors failed and i was quoted $3000 I refused to pay because under consumer law Australia its unacceptable quality. That same time I had their loan car, a week passes and i still have their loan car and still arguing about the repair to my car. Today I get an email saying this
Spoken to my General Manager. He understands the issue and has instructed me to get the car running . Just road tested your car myself . All good to go and parked out front to pick up at no cost to you. As it is Christmas break tomorrow and we close at 3pm I will require you to pick up your car by 3pm today. I get to the dealership to collect my car i give back the keys to the loan car and collect the key to my car. I start the car first thing the check engine light comes on I get out of my car and walk back in tell the service manager and tell him the light is still on. He walks out with me checks my car and then says oh that wasn't on when i did the road test. Then I went to the back of the car and saw the exhaust was till smoking and he said yeah it is. I asked him what did he fix on my car he shrugged and said i don't know at the moment i knew he did nothing and lied to me about my car being fixed. I looked at him and i said you want to start this?? His response was bring it on. That scumbag lied to get me bring the loan car back. I said to him your going to regret this then the receptionist came out and asked me whats wrong i said he hasn't fixed my car same problems she said ok lets re-book the car in. The service manager then said NO he meaning me can go somewhere else. BMW Service at its finest. Paying more then $100,000 for a car and this is the customer service i received. WOW |

Try being in Darwin!
Worst service in Australia!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I left my car at the dealership to investigate a boost leak. No phone call from them for 2 weeks. I had to call and ask for my car back. They said it was pulled apart and took them a week till I could pick it up. I picked my car up with hundreds of little golden ants all through it.! CRAWLING ON ME AS I DROVE HOME! Nothing was fixed. cost me around $800. $300 inspecion fee to check codes and $500 in labour for complete vacume line check. They told me I needed new vanos solonoid and maybe a vanos system if the solonoids did not fix the problem. @ $1400 to install the vanos solonoids. They gave me 4 litres (free) of hyundai diesil oil and told me that might fix the vanos issue. I Asked people at AUDI about it and they said don't do it, it will loosen up particles and make your engine noisy for ever. Fuck BMW I'm doing it myself I thought. This is when I found N54tech and e90post ***********. I ordered vanos solonoids for $115 shipped and took me 1 hr or less to install. That didn't work so I checked the vacume lines myself found it within 10 minutes just printing out the vacume lines and having a look and a prod around. Found the issue, the nipple under the intake manifold was broken off. Brass nipple tapped in and fixed it! ANYWAY I HATE BMW IN DARWIN, they are liars that do not complete work they charge you for. |

As suggested above, write a formal letter of complaint to BMW Australia with as much supporting info as possible (including the email from dealer, any service reports from dealer, pics of errors and smoke, etc).
Let BMW Australia deal with the dealer and make alternative arrangements for fixing the car. |
