Factory Wideband Readings
Has anyone else scanned the factory wideband sensors? I’m getting some wacky readings on mine and I’m not yet sure if they’re a byproduct of my scanning software, or accurate readings.
Just guessing based on what my scanning software says (I have not actually put a meter on the sensor yet, I guess that will be the next step): 1) It’s a current based sensor, with a range of -3 to 3 ma 2) 0ma seems to equate to around stoch (~14.7:1) 2) -.37ma seems to equate to around 13.5:1 3) -.65ma seems to equate to around 12.5:1 So to richen the mixture up under boost a full point, I’m guessing we need to figure out how to pull an additional .35ma from the ECU. I’m thinking its as simple as a ~40k resistor to ground on each o2 wire (assuming its 12v). Who wants to lend me a wideband for testing? Last edited by Terry335; 06-14-2007 at 10:59 PM.. |

Terry, this reading is off your OBD2 Tool and new program you have?
I know stock we run pretty lean but not sure its that high. It would be nice to get an acutal wideband hooked up on the car to see the readings. I really dont even trust sniffers that used on the dyno. |

Yea I figured, how about EGTs or IAT with this program? I havnt even got a chance to mess around with this yet.. But on my Audi's I have VAGCOM which basicly allows me to logg everything except wideband readings as well. i did some comparesents with that for the IC and showed the differences in IAT with a better IC.
in regards to the post over on that other thread, I was thinking about doing a comparesent with having an intercooler sprayer on the 335 |

I ordered one of these to screw around with my o2 sensors:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=190120834161 It's around $325 shipped, and can be moved from car to car pretty easily. I've always wanted one in the toolbox for tuning. |
