Any Local Plasti Dip Pros?

Looking to get my CSL reps plasti dipped to see if I like the look enough to avoid repainting them. As long as it holds up pretty good I'd give it a shot.

Let me know how much you'd want to do 4 CSL reps. I know I COULD do it myself, but I'd rather watch if possible and see how it is done so I could reapply it myself if needed.

I might be able to do it in my buddies garage but I'd have to check with him first.

Dude, u can totally handle this, and if you don't like it you can always peel it off

Give it a shot.. the first coat WILL look like crap, dont freak out and spray a lot to compensate, after about 3 coats it will start looking better and by the 5-6th you're good to go!

I've watched the videos and they DO make it look easy, but the thing is the wheels have lots of angles on those CSL reps. I just don't want to do it wrong and not be able to peel it. I'll probably order the cans this week. 4 cans to be safe or should I get more? I have a moped I plan on using some on as well so I would rather have more than less.

I honestly don't know? Do they?

If not maybe I should just get them painted. I've never worked with it before.

Well these rims need paint, so I don't exactly have much to lose. If I don't like it I can peel it off. Plus this is a good way to see if I want my CSL reps black or OEM gunmetal paint on my car. Either I love it and it lasts and I keep it, or they need to get painted anyway and I get some plastidip experience lol.

Don't expect the plastidip to hold up. It WILL start peeling on you wheels, quickly.

I plasti dipped my oem wheels for the winter and they held up very good with no peeling at all. When i peeled off plastidip a few weeks ago the wheels were just as flawless as when I plastidiped them. You'd be surprised of how durable it really is.

I picked up 1 can to play with on my race moped first LOL. The thing is even if they only last a few months, I realized I can just spend like $12 or so and get 2 cans and reapply a couple of fresh coats on top and good as new again. Hopefully I'll have time between boxing hoods and trunks to get this done haha.

Where are you guys buying PlastiDip? I'm in Andover and have tried a couple of hardware stores on 28 as well as Home Depot and haven't had any luck finding a can. The closest I got was a can of white and a can of red at ACE Hardware. I'm planning on dipping my grille.

Ha its funny you post this. I've been using it for a few years and ran out of my cans so yesterday I stopped by the HD in W. Roxbury and they didnt have it. Sears and Lowes in Dedham didn't have it.

So I ended up getting it at the HD on Route 1 in Norwood (this is where I always bought).

Call the store and save yourself some time.

I am going to be Plasti Dipping my front grille and window trim this Memorial Day weekend. Can't wait to black it out. Going to pick up the Plasti Dip spray cans today at Home Depot.

What exact cans are guys using? I saw a can that said 'Plasti Dip' on it at HD in South Bay Boston 2 weeks ago.
