Stett Cold Air Intake
Hi everyone I have moved over from the 1 addicts forum to the 3 series forum, as I have just traded my 1er for a 2010 335xi. Living in the East, and coming from an S4, I just felt I had to have all wheel drive. I hoping the 335 will be half as much fun as the 1er. Anyway, I had an Injen intake on the 1, but was wondering what everyone has heard about, or had personal experience with, the Stett Cold Air Intake. Thanks
-Bobby

UR CAI is much better than the Stett IMO...You should check both out and see which one fits your needs...Both give the best results if you believe cold air is better than the DCI hot air intakes.

why do you feel this way? STETT has a bigger air filter.

cn555ic, what are you basing this on? The UR is pretty and is one piece, but also comes with an inferior filter. Maybe it is better to say, you prefer the UR.

OP, I am sitting on a 150 rwhp delta on my 335i from a Mustang Dyno with the STETT CAI. Most use a 8-12% correction factor to bring that up to a Dynojet number, so that means I have a 182 rwhp (using 8%) increase in horsepower and I am using the STETT CAI.

Thanks guys. I'm sorry that I forgot to use our search feature. I now have a completely different question, which I tried to search for, but to no avail. I just picked up my 2010 335xi last night, because I really needed x drive for my skiing trips to VT, and to my Complete surprise, it came with the N55 engine! They had not mentioned this, and because I was going to get a Procede, CAI, and exhaust, I was tempted to tell them no thanks. I hope I made the right decision. Sorry for the long email but does anyone know of either a CAI or an exhaust that would work with the N55? Thanks!

If you're trying to tell the OP about what gains you got from the CAI, you should just mention the difference in numbers with and without it. PS. Not trying to talk sh**, just curious

I am not saying that the CAI made all that power, I am saying it is a part of all that power. |
