Access hidden temperature menu
Hi guys - I'm sure it's on here somewhere but I can't find the search function on the forum app. How do I access the hidden menu to find the running engine temperature? Can't believe this is even hidden?!
Thanks |

cheers for that fella.
am I right in thinking the temo should be around 90c? Should I be worried if I was hovering around low 80's? To give and idea of condition I did a 10 mile back from work in 25 mins - got home and sat in the car with the engine for 10 or so minutes whilst I worked out the hidden menu and then drove a few miles around probably averaging 40mph MAX! the highest I saw was 85 but did see 79 once soon after I started??? |

I tested it again on the way to work this morning and it's exactly 12 miles to the entrance of the work car park 7 miles im averaging 30mph the rest 50! When I got there it was only up to 79! Another half mile around the multi story car park and it was up to 82. Not sure if it's being giving enough to warm up probably? I'll give it a decent run at the weekend and see what happens then I'll check the sensors |

15 mins tops. your journey should be ample time to get up to temp. should be sitting at 90deg plus. you could try and replace the EGR stat first but it's usually the main stat that goes.
remember, if the car's not getting up to temp properly it may struggle to DPF regen so best to get this sorted sooner rather than later as you don't want a dodgy DPF to sort out too, many $$$$!! |
