OP most people seem to stay with OE 30 weight, if it gets particularly hot out you could go up to 40 weight and I doubt it would be an issue. There has been a fair amount of discussion about what oil is “best” for the N54, but unless you are seriously pushing the motor (tracking repeatedly in a hot climate), I think you’ll be just fine with OE 5-30.
