benefits of getting cobb flash with jb4 G5 when mixing e85:91?

Just wondering what are the benefits of getting the cobb flash with jb4 G5 when mixing e85:91 50/50? I see a lot of people run without the cobb flash and do 50/50 e85:91 and have great gains and some people here say you need the cobb flash..

It's all a guessing game at this point until you actually mix some in and we see logs to assist you.

One particular car can run E60 w/o a flash mix while another one can only run E30, the variance is pretty substantially on these cars.

Could also be attributed to difference in E85 quality. Some stations actually have E90 while others have E70.

California 91 crap-gas user here.

50% E85 & 50% 91 OCTANE SHELL/CHEVRON MIX running the Cobb OTS E-30 MAP.

Dyno'd a few weeks back made 380WHP & 420WFT/LBs.

If you have a Cobb AP you can load the BMS flash. It features more advance, VANOS tweaks, fueling tweaks, and some other stuff that benefit those running HB4 w/ E85 mixtures of 50% or more.

a bit off topic, but mike, is there any big difference in the G4 to G5 boards for someone who isnt running upped turbos. Just on map 5 with 3 gallons of e85 mixed with 91?
