** Powerflex support got back to me; they say to soap up the bush and to use a press to push it in. Thanks for the RE's guys! I'm going to try using streak-less glass cleaner instead of dish soap.

I bought these guys (PFF5-401 BLK) from VAC and I'm wondering on the install route. Problem is that unlike other PF bushings that come in two pieces, this is a single molded bushing which flanges out at either end.
Anyone have any install tricks/tips/advice for getting these in to my control arms?

Here's what I have:

Notice the flanged ends? (-The stuff doesn't compress at all/doesn't get small enough when frozen, either-)

This is what I'm used to working with:

Again any help would be appreciated.

Could you call up VAC and ask? They've given me advice on DIY stuff.

try to put some soap water and press in ( do not use WD40 or oil)

Are the bushings in this thread the same as the thrust rod bushings? Just got back from the dealer and after changing out my brake fluid they stated that my oil filter housing gasket needs replacement ($697) and my left thrust rod bushing needs replacement ($501). I am pretty sure I can do this myself and save a boat load of money.
