Warning...Stay Away from Bremer Kraft BR09

I was driving home from Detroit last wed night and decided that my plan to wait until spring to replace my RFTs was a loser....

Hit up South Bend, IN Tire Rack in am and bought Mich PSS Super Sports (love them) and added a set of Bremer Kraft BR-09 on the recommendation of sales staff (very nice folks there)

I have done 90 miles and went to re-torque lugs and damn if the finish on right front is coming off around one of the lug holes. I am disgusted...... New on Thursday am and going wrong by Sunday am.....

Anyone think Tire Rack would replace the rim?

Uh......did your installer or you gouge the finish with the tire iron/impact wrench? I mean no finish will withstand damage like that.....

I don't think TireRack should replace the rim. I think either you or your wheelshop that installed the wheels on to your car should just cover the cost of refinishing the wheel. If TR were the ones to install the wheels, then ask them to be responsible for it.

Tire Rack did the installation. I am lucky to live 20 miles from their big South Bend local. The rims were fine after they installed and I noticed the spot before re-torque. So it happened during the 90 miles of regular driving.

Apology by OP

I re-read my post here and feel I owe apology for title. There is a definite quality issue with one rim, but that does not define a product line. Perhaps I just got a bad one....

On another note....I am sitting at Tire Rack now and the customer service here is just excellent. I am posting this before I find out if they can do anything for me but I am being treated very well and they are looking at options for me....I could not ask for anything more....regardless of outcome my business in the Tire and Rim department will now be solely handled by Tire Rack.

I had those rims on my WRX, they are a great wheel for the cost. Hopefully you just got a lemon of a wheel.

I apologized for the harshness of the title of thread....I have been nothing but complimentary of Tire Rack....who earned all my future business......The only way I could be more relaxed is if I was back in college listening to reggae and having a "smoke"........
