For a guy that doesn't know much about exhaust upgrades, how is this better than stock? is it just a larger diameter? Does sound improve or just minor performance? What is required to install? Any welding?

Thanks

It will make sound a little louder and performance a little higher. You will need to cut your existing exhaust and use clamps. No wielding required.
