Finding a 250 GTO in an actual field?? I'm sure that sight was one of jubilation rather than sadness

ugh... yes and no. makes me wonder how in the world these cars got to this point? and yes... it would be tempting to just roll up my trailer and leave with millions of $ worth of car... but the truth is, you'd have to buy it fair and square. good luck finding the owner. and even if you did, that little find might still cost you like $1MM

Who ever owns the land owns the car and i'm sure will take cash for it to get the "POS junk" out off the grass. On a more serious note it is a shame that some of the people that can afford these cars are not the same that would respect the time/effort if took developing them and take good care. I like the classics that are in between this state and full restored. When they are not perfect you can still really enjoy them without the anxiety of the slightest paint chip. Just my 2 cents

Kiss the rest of your afternoon/evening goodbye.

And sadly, I disagree with the previous poster, the story usually goes "I'm going to fix 'er up someday! Not for sale!" and someday never comes.

I have a problem believing this, all the 250GTO's wereabouts are known and each car has a pretty comprehensive history.

http://www.ferrarilife.com/registry/browse/250-gto/

I also wonder if the McLaren is an actual racecar or a showcar, from what I understand all the McLaren racecars from the early 80's onwards are still owned by McLaren.

It's not a GT-R, just a regular R34 Coupe, the wheelarches aren't wide enough, the interior is wrong and the front bumper isn't correct either.

My buddy told me that 250 GTO is actually one of the ones that are "known." this was before it was rediscovered.

They forgot the this guy

Quote:

In Dubai, debt is a crime. Many debtors flee the country to avoid jail time, leaving behind cars and other property to bake in the hot sun. Dubai's traffic department director, Major General Mohammed Saif Al Zaffin, reports that this particular Enzo was wanted by Interpol and was left in a parking space twenty months ago after accruing too many parking tickets.

My lips are quivering from being on the verge of crying.

There were only 399 people selected from Ferrari that were eligible to buy the Enzo. How did it end up here? I'm surprised Ferrari hasn't attempted to get the car back and refurbish it.
