Thinking of going to a Mini as a daily driver and want to start doing my homework. TIA

There's a new model coming out. Motor info was officially announced yesterday and spy shots are all over. If you want a new one, that is.

Isn't the Mini even more unreliable than a Range Rover? My neighbor dumped hers a few months ago because the turbo gave up the ghost: an expensive fix.

I'd get a Golf for a daily beater.

I've had 4 of them and never suffered a problem, apart from a clutch which should have been recalled and I ended up having to replace the flywheel.

I loved my JCW but i would have to agree and say that they mine wasn't very reliable. GTI's make a fun DD.

You should also look into the focus ST!
