Shiv, where's the LPFP?

Shiv, I really need a LPFP, what's the ETA on this upgraded LPFP you guys are going to release. Initial pricing? Install difficulty? Is it basically just a plug and play replacement in tank pump?

He installed it in a members car already, and he reports that it works great, so I don't know what Shiv is waiting for, I thought he liked money! LOL

Yup, I have one in my car, my guess is he is going through finalizing stages for the actual production kit. Apparently there is a bracket that needs to be anodized, I know he is looking forward to releasing the kit and the business.

Do you really? We have seen 650whp cars without the upgrade.

He probably realizes this will be something that will quickly be copied by competitors and wants to have a very finalized product before giving anymore info.

There is more to advancing a platform than just performance, it's also big money to these companies. I think we all need to remember this is a business and sometimes that gets overlooked by our excitement to gain another 10whp.

You of all people should understand BSFC differences between RB turbos and ST setups.

Haha, no I'm trying to run 100% e85 but my LPFP can't handle it. I need a new one but would rather buy an upgraded one over oem. That's why I need to know if its inline or a 1 for 1 replacement. Will I still need a new oem LPFP? Idk. Only testing will tell.

Before Shiv installed the new pump, my car was throwing the LPFP code on 100% E85. Once the secondary pump was installed, everything is fine and dandy. I was told I did not need to replace my LPFP once the inline pump was installed. I would wait before replacing the OEM pump.

Hi guys-- we are waiting for our first run of parts from the machine shop. The prototype we had was put in joec500's car. We decided to get a run of kits made first before showing the world what we did and how we did it. Hope to have something to show later this week.

He mentioned in another thread it would be universal.

Not really. It's the BSFC difference between Gasoline and Ethanol that is most relevant in this discussion.

I would certainly like to get the inline LPFP installed, so I do not have to worry about my rapidly aging fuel pump (even though it's brand new). Is this a relatively simple installation, something that can be done from the back seat and getting one's hands wet?

RBs don't have anything to do with this.
The turbo hardware induced BSFC difference is minor. What is needed for power is octane by meth or ethanol. Selecting meth means the fuel system upgrade is not needed, especially if a proper flash, such as Procedeflash is applied. The upgrade is needed running 100% e85 without meth.

Ok, so if somehow a set of RB's magically could produce enough volume to reach 650whp - your telling me that they would not require more fuel than your single turbo setup? Please explain

Fuel is matched to airflow, doesn't matter if its one hair-dryer or two. Explain to me how two turbos flowing the same amount of air as one turbo will magically need more fuel (assuming relatively equal powerbands)?
