Smile BMW Leather Cleaner?

Hello, i've recently purchased a 2010 MW 328i xdrive. I've got black leather seats and i wanted to see any reccommendations on products that clean/condition the seat? Just want to know good brands and suggestions. Thank you!

Popular choices include Lexol, Leatherique, Chemical Guys, Girots. Any online detail store (Detailers Domain, etc) will have them.

Avoid cheaper combo-clean/condition products from your typical OTC stores.

Oooh forgot Zaino - and its what I just used yesterday!

I'm thinking of going with something more hardcore as my dakota is getting a touch crispy...

I used SwissVax leather cleaner and it works very well but it is expensive. I don't think I would buy it again due to the cost.

I have used Lexol in the past and it is a good cleaner at a 'bargain' price.

I use Autoglym Leather Cleaner and follow up with Autoglym Leather Care Balm Lotion (Used the lotion twice per year only as instruction says,) I love the rich look and coming from a prestigious company like autoglym you can't go wrong

I personally use Leatherique Rejuvenator Oil followed by Leatherique Prestine Clean to clean and protect my leather. This usually cleans it really well and protects for a while. There are two very good articles on the DI Ask-A-Pro Blog that highlight Leatherique treatments... One is the general Leatherique Leather Care How-To and the other a more specific Leatherique Prestine Clean Product Review.

If you want more durable protection on the leather, you can look into products such as Optimum Protectant Plus or possibly seek a good professional detailer that installs Opti Guard Pro on interiors as that should last the longest.

Also, Meguiar's Quik Interior Detail is a good quick and safe interior cleaner, so it may be worth having a bottle.

For more info on maintaining leather and the interior, we have a good Interior Detailing Guide on our website.

Lastly, I wouldn't recommend "over" treating your leather as it really doesn't need it. Normally you want to just wipe it down with a water dampened towel to remove some oils from the surface and keep it in good shape. Unless you drive a lot, a thorough cleaning and conditioning is probably not needed more than 1-2 times per year. Also, keep in mind that a lot of cars don't see much people sitting in the back seat, so cleaning and conditioning the back seat can probably be done every 2nd or 3rd time you clean the front.

Hope that helps!
