255/35 19 on 10" wheel rub?
Hey all.
Looking at getting some new tread and want to go a smidge wider. I am on Eibach sportline springs, and from the research I have done they are the same or very close to H&R sports. Current: style 95s staggered 225/35 front 245/35 rear I have no fender work, and dot really want to do it either. Can I do the below without rubbing??? Not as worried about large bumps, but the regular stuff. Nashville is not too terrible with roads, at least the ones I am on. 235/35 front (this is no issue I know) 255/35 rear? I know everyone is going to say do 255/30 rears, but I am very happy with the way the matching sidewall. Any pics would be great. If I was not lowered I wouldn't be asking. I had 4 adults in the car last weekend with about 380-400lbs in the back and no rubbing. Thanks!!! |

A 255 might be too narrow for a 10" wheel. depends on the tire. Will the wheel/tire fit? It depends on offset.
I'm running a 19x9.5 ET33 with a 275/30 on the rear of my car.

your wheel offset will determine more/less if you are going to rub. Running a 255 tire on a 10" wheel shouldn't be a prob. a 245 tire on a 10" wheel should have a stretch DEPENDING on what brand tire you have. Some tires run small and some bigger.
For example I have a 10.5" on a 255 and it fits like a 265/275 and that's a goodyear assymetric tire

I was actually looking at trying Achilles ATR sports. I know there isn't much out there on them except they stretch really well. I may just try the 255/35 and see what happens! |
