NICE WORK. I'm surprised it doesn't move. I personally would've made the box a bit thicker to really give the depth in sound. But, obviously it'll be much harder, time consuming and costly. Great work overall!

It doesn't move a bit. It sits right into the tray so it has a little grove to sit in. vIts actually a little difficult to remove, thats how well its in there. Ive done several boxes tis one in 7 layers and other 10 layer boxes and they sound the to me. Im sure most people wouldn't say hey is that a 10 ply sub box cause I can hear the difference, but there are some with a trained ear that may be able to hear a difference in sound.

looking for carpet

just built my box and i need some carpet. also looking to downgrade my sub as the only one i had was a competition woofer that had some heft to it.

anyone know where to find some oem bmw gray trunk carpet?

the sub i have didn't sound so well inside the enclosure because the motor is so large and takes up lots of airspace. any suggestions for woofers with a good thump ? w3's?

That's an awesome looking box. I'm interested in making this a project for myself but I don't know how the fiberglass layers work. What did you exactly do to get that mold done? And where can I buy all of the materials?

Everything can be bought from Lowe's . I found the felt from a place called Joanna fabric

I downgraded my subwoofer to a kicker cvr 12 from an audioque hdc312 plan on building another box for the right hand side for one more 12 has anyone done this

Here's the final product . The build for me was quite costly because because I built the box for my audioque woofer which weighs about 60 lbs... Had to put lots of layers

Do you build the box over the battery compartment cover or remove it then build it
