Amber engine warning light :(

Just dropped the car in to the stealers to find out what is happening to the car.

symtoms:

oil on the driveway. occurred over the weekend
engine revs jump from 800 to 2000 then drop to 500 when the car is cold. While driving this will cause the car lunge forward if I am not accelerating.

Gutted, but hoping the warranty will cover the costs.

Shiiite.

garage have come back with fault codes of
4507 and
4CAD

which both relate to an exhaust gas recirculation system. Could this be the cause of the over revving engine? wasn't expecting that.

To be honest he did mention something about that. But I was too busy trying to write down what the codes and definitions were. Will have to ask again tomorrow. Oil filter or thereabouts.
