frozen grey e92 wrap
hey guys,
i want to do a full warp on my car and i needed some info/help with the project. so i want to wrap my entire car in frozen grey, then window trim, mirrors, and rear spoiler (which i plan to buy) and wheels in black. i may go CF on mirrors and spoiler. i am still confused as to choose m3 rep front bumper or just the stock. i have scratched my bumper and going to replace ti anyways. i want to know what is the best vinyl to use for the wrap. and what will be the easiest place to start the wrap with lowest possible mistakes. i am new to DIY and haven't wrapped a thing before. i still want to do it my self. and if someone can photoshop ( i know it's a lot to ask ) the image to show how will frozen grey look, it'll be great !! thanks Harsh |

Let me know if you find a vinyl suitable for wrapping that's similar to Frozen Grey. So far I've got 3M 1080 and Avery's matte grey, and they don't have that satin effect OEM Frozen Grey paint does. I'm waiting on some vinyl from Hexis to see how their grey, which they actually call "Frozen Grey," looks.
I suppose you could always do a gloss grey wrap and then do a satin overlaminate, but that's twice as much work and then some, not to mention the cost.

In the GT-R video, it looks like it lacks the "wet" effect of OEM Frozen Grey. In some shots it looks too flat, almost like primer, but it might be the lighting - there's very little showing the car under natural light.
I have some of it on the way to me right now to compare to the various matte greys that 3M offers in their 1080 line, as well as Avery and Oracal's offerings. I'll let you know what I think once I have it in hand.
