Engine malfunction
Hello everyone,
I have a 2008 335xi JB+ set at 75% and Dual cone intake.....I have had the exhaust mod where you unplug the cable in the trunk area every since i got my car. The other day this light came on...Engine malfunction.... I turned the car off and back on and drove off.... My car is still under warranty I brought it in to the dealer and they said that the exhaust cable set it off? Has anyone heard of this before? Thanks |

It didn't set it off. The dealer is looking for an excuse. Pull off all your mods and bring it to a different dealer, and tell them I got an engine light. They will fix it under warranty.

My description of service says
Found Fault 2F6C stored, Performed test plam B1214 NG6AGK Checked Fuse, O.K. checked and found loose conection at Exhaust Flaop solenoid, repaired connection. Cleared Faults. Road tested.. Which I knew because unplugged it 6 months ago when I bought the car.... |

If the light comes on and then when you turn your car off/on again and its gone...will there still be some recorded code?
