Another Golf.....

I was going to buy my wife an X5, but she said all she wanted was a Golf. So I ordered a brand new GTD fully loaded, but they keep putting the build week back. Then I saw this GTI Ed35 on autotrader on Tuesday night, and yesterday did a deal on it, cancelled the GTD, and picked it up today.

(mixture of my crappy iPhone pics and dealer pics)

It's a Nov 11/61 with 6000 miles, with the following spec;

Carbon Grey Metallic
RNS510 sat nav
Dynaudio
Luxury Pack
19" Glendale wheels
DSG
Parking sensors
Reverse camera
Parking assist (bollocks)
MDI
Cruise
Colour highline display
flat tyre indicator (can't believe this is an option?)

And heated leather, Bluetooth and adaptive Xenons are all standard

I think that's it! It was the MDs own car and is spotless.

Had a great drive back from Berkshire today

Its a nice place to be for a hatch and I feel a remap coming soon - hello 300bhp

Gibbo and I are starting our own club.

Oli, very nice.

I am sure you will enjoy the 35 more than the GTD and a bit more fuel cost is worth it for the engine. Thanks for your help and advice on the car and I am sure we will meet up at Goodwood one weekend.

Its becoming a VAG forum....

I think talking to you was what made me look! That and I've had about 10 golfs or so of varying models!

In fact I've had;

Mk1 gti cab
Mk1 Gli cab
Mk2 GTI 16v
M4 R32
Mk5 Gti
Mk5 Gti Ed 30 - I've had two of these
Mk5 R32
Mk5 GT Sport Diesel!!
And now this

Blimey, that's a lot of Golfs!

Looks a really nice car. But not sure about the two-tone wheels though.

Very cool...I'm tempted to swap my 330d for one soon, but likely end up with a touran or some type of 7 seater.

Nice.

The wheels just don't suit the car though IMO.

Great cars but sadly the wheels aren't for me either, they can easily be replaced I'm sure.

Were you tempted by a Golf R at all ?

The wheels are certainly a marmite thing. And I love them.

I'm chuffed with this and the price I paid

if there was a golf worth swapping to froma e90 this would be it.

Whats the interior like comparing to e9x as was in a 12 plate TSI the other day and it did feel a bit cheap though was bottom fo the range hire car
