Like some of you, I attended shift-s3ctor's inaugural event which included a roll-on event which was f*cking insane. Check out the 11.11.11 video in the link: http://shift-s3ctor.com/

This is the perfect place for us N54's on the West Coast to see what our cars are capable of. Perfectly situation halfway between our brothers in SoCal and NorCal so no excuses...and you have two months to prep!

I'm not affiliated with shift-s3ctor whatsoever. Hopefully we can get representation from the fastest 335s to see what we can do against the exotics.

Shift-S3ctor Airstrip Attack registration is now officially open!!

Some of us have waited our whole lives for something like this… Shift-S3ctor brings you our first Airstrip Attack event!


Where: Trona Airport. 14902 Airport Rd Trona, CA 93562
When: Saturday, February 25th, 2012. 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
What: A 1/2 mile of acceleration in a rolling side by side competition.

*********** THE EVENT IS BEING HOSTED AT A NEW LOCATION********

We decided it was best for not only vehicle performance, but also for safety concerns to host the event at Trona Airport. Trona Airport is at an elevation of 1700 ft. which is significantly lower than our original venue and should allow cars to run a little better. We now have a longer runway as well (just over a mile) which allows for even more braking room for our 1/2 mile of acceleration. This runway is also at a 1.8% downgrade whereas our original location was slightly uphill.

This should place no inconvenience since this new location is only about 20 minutes away from the original. The nearest hotels are still in the Ridgecrest area.

Lastly, come to the event with a FULL TANK OF GAS. Unfortunately, there is not a convenient gas station by our new location, so be sure to plan your fill ups before you arrive.

Who may participate?
From stock cars to highly modified vehicles, all are welcome. Convertibles are required to have a roll bar. ALL participants are required to bring and wear helmets. Tech Inspection will be heavily enforced. There is no fuel on site but there is a gas station 5 minutes away. You may also bring your own race gas. Keep it off the streets and do it legally in a safe environment! Professional video and photography will be on hand.

This first Airstrip Attack event is expected to bring various types of cars together to do some high speed, side by side racing on a newly paved airstrip. You will be able to start from a roll, 25 mph to 50 mph, and accelerate for 1/2 mile, against your friend or enemy. It will be a War of the Worlds, as we expect a variety of American Muscle, JDM and European machines to show up and do battle. A winner will be announced at the end of the day.

Awards will be given for:
Fastest car of the day.
Fastest tuner of the day.

Early registration is $225 and we will limit registrations so sign up today!

Damn I wish someone would do it in the east coast. A perfect place would be Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyn. Air field is No longer open for planes but the roads are still nice

I live 45 minutes for an airport they convert to a drag strip on saturday afternoons. I REALLY wish they would do roll-on events

Longboard I'm in I will sign up tomorrow. I'm sick of all these [Admin Notified] pricks acting like I have not called Hotrod out three times already and been at the Willow event in his back yard. I actually showed to the Willow event Warren did not miss me at Sacramento he was not there. Bottom line I have run my car a fraction of the times Hotrod has and based on my 122+mph trap at Sacramento Vs Hotrods 121+mph trap recently t Sacramento it would be a good race.

Hotrod I have nothing against you but. Sure as hell am tired of all the bull on *******. This is a friendly call out we both have two months to make this airstrip event and it's more of a drive for me. Let's finally put this to bed.

Awesome glad you can make it Sihk! It would be good if a turbo upgrade 335 to also join us since we learned from Willow Springs that at higher elevations, the stock turbo's just can't make power at the top end like they can at sea level.

Yeah I think he said he was getting the new 328. No better place to do test and tune on the new 4cyl turbo or the 335d hotrod than an airstrip! So even though you won't have the 335i, you should still come!
