FWI, the front suspension on e92 is identical with e92 M3, as well as, 90% of the rear suspension. You can literally bolt on an M3 suspension and brakes ect. The only real difference between between cars is the rear track width which is minor and a LSD. This should be of no real surprise.

I measure up the M3 strut bar today and it should fit so I order the parts ( http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...61&hg=51&fg=75 ). This design is superior to any straight cross over bar from a mechanical stiffness point of view and much lighter. You need ever part of the RealOEM listed page and for item #6 you need the 12 mm bolt.

The wishbones use a stiffer isolator so they make a difference. Honestly, it is one of those things that you go all the way with for a reasonable outcome and low risk given the platform is the same. Doing parts and pieces might end with some undesirable result but the one front tension strut is a reasonable changing by it self. I am changing the whole thing out (front and rear) including changing my rear KW v3 dampeners to M3 style and the one rear diff mount as well.

You are referring to the rear toe link. There isnt enough deflection in our opinion to warrant an upgrade. I believe the M3 links are much longer, but please correct me if I am wrong. One option is just to replace the bushing with a joint for less deflection or build a custom adjustable link with Heim joints.

However, the other two links have much deflection and cause some bind, but we are not too concerned about them at this point in time for our project 335i.

Is this the link that Hotchkis has? They have a "rear camber kit" which matches your description and comes with 4 links. It definitely does look beefy...

Yes, they are. May be a bit much for a street car and can be very noisy.

Good to know. I was wondering if they were noisy or not...

The M3 bits look quite a bit sturdier from photos since it's not a sheet of steel rolled into shape, but that's just looks, I have no data to quantify.

Mine arrived last week (it took about 2 weeks); I haven't had a chance to install it because my car is in the paint shop. I kinda assembled it together but you guys get the idea on how it works. BTW; Is the stock E90 M3 brace black and silver or all black? I'm thinking of painting it all black, What do you guys think?

There will be a lot deflection for the toe link…..I will let you rethink the geometry and loading. The M toe link are uses a spherical bearing at both end for this reason.

I guess you haven’t measured things up yet? I was able to figure out geometrically that the suspension has to be the same given a few details which are the shock attachment mount, the trailing (same on boht cars) arm and my handy tape measurer.

Replacing four front links, camber plates, six rear link and four sub frame isolators will essentially give you M car suspension feel and performance.

Can I please have the part name and numbers of the 4 front links please. And so for the four sub-frame isolators do you have to press it out of the sub-frame or they can be pop out to replace.
