275's on a 328i?

Hey everyone! I've looked and looked on these forums but never really found my answer yet, but right now I am running 225/40/R17's on a square setup on my 2012 328i xdrive and I am looking to see how wide I could go in the front and in the back to make a mean looking setup but not really have any rub either. I know many people have said to run a staggered setup with 245's up front and 275's rear but I wasn't sure if I wanted to do that since I wouldn't be able to rotate them.

Some info:
2012 328i xdrive coupe
non m-sport
stock suspension
auto
currently 17" x 7.5" Voxx Lago wheels with Bridgestone Drivegaurd 225/40/R17

Any help would be very appreciated! thanks!

I could be wrong, i am no expert on the topic, but i think i hear that 255s are the widest you can go on the front without rubbing, and even then its really really close, you need camber plates and everything to get it to work.

I think most people that want square setups on non-M e90s run 245s all around.

Keep in mind that with wider tires comes more weight that our wimpy N/A motors have a hard time dealing with. For a 328i I wouldn't really go wider than you have to. I personally think the stock 225/255 is fine but that's just me.

Do you have a setup with 255's that you think would work okay?

I dont.

In reality I'm just regurgitating info I've heard here on the forums, I just know I've read a lot about 255 square setups being possible, but also very hard to get to work. Apparently the fitment is so tight that some tire manufacturers don't work because their widths are slightly more than others.

Perhaps someone with real experience can help you more lol

Wide square fitments are definitely possible, they just need the perfect offsets.

The most aggressive fitment we've come up with is the 18x9" ET30 or ET31 will work with 255/35-18 as a square fitment with no additional modifications.

Wider tires can be used, but will require negative camber and/or rolled fenders in order to prevent rubbing.

And as mentioned above, at these widths even the tire brand comes into play as certain brands run wider than others.

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!

Have you tested running a 255 on a 19" in a squared setup on a 328?
