From the pics it actually looks pretty nice for a tank.

I really like the X6 and have thought deep about trading in the X3 for one but that idea went down the tubes after i heard about the insane price tag. 117k!!!! This is for the diesel version of the twin turbo.

BMW Australia X6 pricing = FAIL

If they bring out the TT V8 and put an extra seat in the back then I think it will be real competition for Porsche in terms of bang for buck performance wise. Plus it actually looks quite nice.

I might even be interested as my next car in a few years, 3 kids in the back of a 3er is a PITA & an M5 is probably a tad too expensive + they are getting a tad long in the tooth.

Don't see the advantage of it over say an X5, Q7, Cayenne or ML.

But that's just me.

The 0-100km/h speed of the 4.4L TT is 5.4 seconds (nothing special). (BMW Sydney sales rep told me)

The price of the vehicle is estimated at around 140k plus on roads and minor options, you would be looking at 156k drive away. If i were in the market for one i would go Porsche in a snap. I will repeat, BMW Aus X6 pricing = FAIL

It would not remain stock very long. Also where they have mounted the turbo's on the V8 makes it very easy for an upgrade, unlike the N54 which has the turbos mounted in a prick of a spot.

Also it looks better than the Cayenne IMHO.

FYI from the Porsche Australia website;

Cayenne = 8.5 @$95k
Cayenne S = 6.8 @ $135k
Cayenne GTS = 6.5 @ $153k
Cayenne Turbo = 5.1 @ $215k

So to me the X6 makes better sense.

The GTS Cayenne in person is a wicked car and i would rather have that car over an X6 anyday even if its a second slower. Porsche>BMW (my opinion). I really do love the X6 but the price point should have been more thoroughly thought through by BMW Aus. I myself need to replace my X3 with a new SUV for the business so i am currently looking at the X5 and a possibility of a cayenne.

It only has 4 seats - that's a waste of time for me.
I would rather a E92 anyday.

From what I'm hearing, no serious offer on an X5 is ever refused. I know a guy that got close to $20K off the list price (for a car in stock).

As for the X6 - no thanks. For me, unless it's a sedan or a coupe, it falls in the truck catagory regardless of badge.
