**Riss Racing** 3" Catted Downpipes (AVAILABLE NOW!!!)
Hello everyone,
The long awaited Riss Racing 3" CATTED downpipes are available now!!! Here are the pictures of our Polished and Ceramic Coated! Everybody on the pre-order list should have gotten their FEDEX/USPS confirmation today. If not, please email me at Adam@rissracing.com. 1. POWER? Catted downpipes will still create tons of power. Our cats are located near the bottom of the downpipes. They have custom Metal Substrate Catalytic converters which flow from 3" to 2.5" smoothly. The reason for this is to continue to build boost up top with 3 inches of flow and putting the cats in before the sensors so we don't have a CEL. We have our sets going out to a few of our clients that will test the power for us on independent dynos. 2. DYNO? See above. 3. AVAILABILITY? TODAY. 4. 135i? Yes, it fits the 135i! Pictures on our site are not updated yet. They should be updated this weekend. They are available for purchase right now. Please contact Anthony (Riss Racing) for more ordering information. Thank you guys! NEW UPDATE: Videos and new pictures below!!! A quick side note. The cats will smoke white upon install for about 2 min. This is because they are brand new and need to heat up. After that the white smoke is gone. I will also update the videos I have a ton of clips with the final production catted DP. The videos up right now are from our prototypes. Thanks!

Will you please provide pics of the inside of the cats?
Is there a cell count, are they metal?

+1, a cut-away photo would be awesome, but otherwise a description of the functional guts and how they compare with OEM and Alpina equivalents would be great!

These cats are metallic, it has been mentioned already. It looks like that we are limited in whp ( 330-350 @ 14-15 psi ) on stock cars for quite some time ( until turbo upgrades will be available ) , so high-flow mods ( DP's, FMIC, intake, exhaust ) will be the way to gain more power. The new RR catted DP's look very promising. Thanks to RR for this product ! Can't wait .
The stock DP's are a main bottleneck. IMO this is a product you can just bolt on as a supporting mod to your existing tuning, getting quite some more serious power without the need of getting special versions of the tuning or o2-sims. - Eugen |

Please point us in the right direction if they have. Props to RR for coming out with the catted DPs, but I would really like to see the RR cats. Here's Stock: Here's the Ultimate Racing:

I know when I would replace the ceramic cats in the stock DP's by metallic ones my tuning would gain 20+ crank horsepower. This is expensive like hell ( 3200 US$ including installation ). I expect the RR catted DP's are a much better product.

Really hoping that these would improve some of the heat problems for the turbos and rear cylinders. Any thoughts from those of you with knowledge about this topic?
