Loud ticking noise?? After runninig car hard

I have probably about 2200 miles on my car and after turning the car off after running it hard, I have this loud TICK, usually every couple seconds about (10 secs) in between.........

Is the car just breaking in or ????

Are you talking about metal contraction sounds as the engine and exhaust cools? If so, that is normal on any car.
