riss racing catch can internal baffle pics?
looking for pics of the internal baffle system. About to buy a catch can for my M3, but want to pic the right unit. Just want to make sure the riss unit actually uses baffles and is not just an open/hollow canister.
Here is a cutaway diagram of another unit i'm considering, though it is more than the riss can. http://www.mckinneyraceworks.com/cat...products_id=82

When i put it in, after about 20k miles, the stock hoses were coated with oil inside... and it now clearly has oil in it that it is stopping.... on a good/encouraging note.. i just swapped my intercooler out over the weekend (at 24k miles).... and the inlet side of the intercooler was clean / basically dry... aside from the factory lube that was used on the fittings... that was at 23K miles... although i heard from others that swapped their intercoolers that there was some oil down there.... anyway... with as little as i got down in the IC over the first 20k miles... .. and the amount of oil i see in my riss can, after 4k miles... I believe the Riss can is more than adequate.... ***update.... although not much change in my opinion **** just saw http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=250717 ... and in thinking about it... the end caps on the stocker are plastic... and perhaps they would stay clean/dry while what little oil was vaporized would condense IN the IC itself instead of the end tanks..... either way... there is oil in my riss can.... and it ain't coming out from hard braking or anything like that... When I opened my drain plug, I noticed a small piece of steel wool was loose and just moving around the can. It's big enough not to come out of the drain plug. Is this normal or a defective can??

I apologize. My pitiful attempt at humor was not intended to be sarcastic.

ok I just placed my order for the above referenced catch can. I'll post pics and impressions once I have it.

I bought one of the early Riss CCs that did not have any baffling, I bought some medium stainless steel wool and packed it in through the drain hole:
I'm anxious to see if it captures more oil......watch the steel wool, it is SHARP when pulled tight
