M3 type rear with quad exhaust for e90 330i?

I can not understand why these exhaust systems are made in different ways (Different locations, and length of the pipes),
but they are suitable for the same models E90, 92, 93..?

Any thoughts or on these exhaust setups guys? They've sold quite a few. Or any recommendation on where can you buy those exhaust conversions at?
